I would love the opportunity to provide a deeper look into the life and values that have shaped my journey. As a distinguished senior officer in the United States Army, my career has been defined by a relentless pursuit of excellence and a commitment to servant leadership. Hailing from Boulder, Colorado, my professional foundation was laid at the prestigious United States Military Academy at West Point. Graduating in 1994, I was immersed in an environment that prioritized discipline, integrity, and advanced strategic thinking—principles that continue to guide every decision I make today. Seeking to further my expertise, I later secured a master’s degree from the United States Army War College, a pivotal experience that honed my proficiency in complex operational planning and the nuances of national security.
However, my public achievements are only half of the story; the true core of my character was forged in the fires of personal adversity. Having lost both of my parents at a tender age, I was raised under the care of my uncle, a man whose strength sustained me until he too was lost to blood cancer. The most profound heartache came in 2005 with the passing of my beloved older sister, Asyln, who was my constant source of inspiration and support. These profound losses have not broken my spirit; rather, they have fueled a deep-seated resilience and a desire to honor their memories through impact. Every day, I carry the silent hope that my parents and Asyln are watching, seeing the man I have become—not just a dedicated soldier, but a Commanding General in the U.S. Army. My life stands as a testament to the fact that through sacrifice and unwavering dedication, we can transform grief into a powerful legacy of service. I am honored to share this path with you as we work together to empower dreams through connection and community strength.
